StockPilot ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify application that provides purchase order, receiving, and inventory management tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our application.
Information We Collect
When you install StockPilot, we access the following information from your Shopify store:
- Store information: Your shop domain and name, used to identify your account.
- Product and inventory data: Product titles, variants, SKUs, barcodes, inventory quantities, and costs — used to power purchase orders, receiving, and inventory features.
- Supplier information: Supplier names, contact details, and notes that you enter into StockPilot.
- Purchase order data: Purchase orders, line items, and receiving records that you create within StockPilot.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the purchase order, receiving, and inventory management features of StockPilot.
- To sync inventory quantities and costs back to your Shopify store when you receive goods.
- To generate PDF purchase orders and send them to your suppliers via email.
- To display inventory dashboards, alerts, and reports within the app.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in our database hosted on Railway (PostgreSQL). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
Third-Party Services
- Shopify: We access your store data through Shopify's API in accordance with their Partner Program Agreement.
- Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails (purchase orders to suppliers) on your behalf.
- Railway: Our application and database are hosted on Railway's infrastructure.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you have StockPilot installed. When you uninstall the app, we delete your store data within 30 days in accordance with Shopify's requirements.
GDPR Compliance
We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks:
- Customer data request: We respond to requests for customer data associated with your store.
- Customer data erasure: We delete customer data upon request.
- Shop data erasure: We delete all store data when you uninstall the app.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Uninstall the app at any time, which triggers automatic data deletion
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
